Assistive Technology
Project Summary
The intelligent use of assistive technology has a proven positive effect in keeping the frail and older population within the community and allowing them to remain safe and independent. This project will support this through these components:
- A frequently updated map of Assistive Technology suppliers across East Anglia http://www.atlaseast.org.uk/index.php
- A film for managers about Assistive Technology, featuring contributions from 3 leading experts in the field
- A training programme with supporting resource materials to underpin knowledge on the use of assistive technology for case managers, community matrons and other relevant health & social care staff.
- The availability of CPD courses designed for practitioners and managers to ensure that AT-related skills are relevant for building a good practice which is up-to-date, client-responsive and innovative
