Choosing your hospital
You have the right to choose which hospital trust you are referred to if your GP feels you need to see a consultant. Evidence shows that if you feel comfortable and confident in your choice of hospital you're likely to improve the result of your treatment and your experience while you're there.
Choosing the right hospital will depend on what is important to you. There are many things to think about, for example, where it is, parking, the hospital’s reputation, how easy it is to get to.

In Norfolk, the majority of GP practices operate the electronic Choose and Book system. This will enable you to book a hospital appointment at a time which is convenient to you, at the hospital trust of your choice.
