Information about Services offered by Dentists
Anxiety management:
A range of techniques to help patients manage their anxieties about dental treatment.
Orthodontics:
Your dentist may offer this service if your teeth are in the wrong position or not well aligned, often using a brace. Your dentist may also refer you to an Orthodontic Practitioner.
Services of a dental hygienist:
The cleaning and polishing of teeth and the removal of calculus (tartar); advice about the prevention of oral diseases, including how to clean the mouth. Also provides the application of preventive materials and solutions such as fluorides and fissure sealants to the teeth.
Services to patients with special needs:
Services to those patients with special needs who might otherwise be unable to receive dental treatment through general dental services.
Sedation:
Specialises in dealing with severely anxious patients.
