John Plaskett (Non Executive Director)
John joined NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney in March 2007. John trained as a Management Accountant and spent his early career in roles in the Electronics manufacturing industry. During his late twenties he gained experience in General Management, moving on to Director roles in Sales and Marketing. During this time he twice won the Queens Award for Exports with 2 separate companies. John later became Managing Director for a UK subsidiary of a US Fortune 250 company.
John is a passionate believer of the NHS and wants to see better access, quicker treatment and a greater focus on prevention which he believes is all achievable if modern business practices are applied though greater efficiency and without compromising front line services.
John is 61 and has two children and two grandchildren. He enjoys travelling, playing golf, reading and visiting family and friends.
