North Walsham and District War Memorial Hospital
Introduction/background
The North Walsham health campus, approved by the NHS Norfolk Board, in July 2008, will see a range of existing and new services under one roof.
A DVD has been produced to capture the views of members of the Community Involvement Panel (CIP) focusing on their involvement in the planning of the refurbishment of Rebecca House and proposed new 24 bed inpatient unit.
Community Involvement Panel (CIP)
To ensure that NHS Norfolk consults fully with patients and the public, the project delivery team has set up a Community Involvement Panel (CIP). - North Norfolk District Council

What we have done so far
In early January the panel looked at various possible methods of patient and public involvement which would be carried out by a research partner to gain the views of proposed services.
The panel used their skills and knowledge to develop a list of proposed services for the health campus. These will be tested by commissioning independent PPI research through a telephone survey for a 500-person representative sample. The findings from the telephone survey are now available and can be downloaded by clicking on the document below. The research will be used by NHS Norfolk when designing the Full Business Case for the North Walsham Health Campus. The Full Business Case will be available at the September 2009 Public board meeting of NHS Norfolk.
The panel are currently working hard on phase two of the involvement process on how NHS Norfolk involves patients and public in the development of the new health campus.
