Pharmacists
A well-stocked medicine chest will help you treat many everyday illnesses and minor ailments at home. For example, a small supply of paracetamol or ibuprofen and other remedies will help you treat common ailments such as coughs, colds, sore throats, indigestion, toothache, headaches and constipation. If you have children, don’t forget to include appropriate medicines for them. Ask your pharmacist for advice.
If you are not getting better or your symptoms get worse you should contact your GP.
Your local pharmacist
Pharmacists are healthcare professionals and experts in the use of medicines. They can offer advice on the safe use of prescription and over-the-counter medicines and the treatment of common health problems , such as coughs and colds. They will also advise you if you need to see a doctor or nurse.
