Research NOT eligible for or adopted onto the national portfolio
If your study is not eligible for adoption onto the national portfolio, or your application for adoption is turned down you will need to apply separately to each R&D office in each Trust in which you wish to carry out your project. A list of R&D office contact details are available on the NHS R&D Forum website.
For research involving NHS Norfolk, NHS Suffolk, NHS Great Yarmouth & Waveney, Norfolk Community Health & Care, Suffolk Community Healthcare and Great Yarmouth & Waveney Community Services, your submission must be sent to the R&D office at NHS Norfolk. Electronic copies of the R&D application form, SSI forms and all supporting documentation should be emailed to the R&D office including scanned copies of all signature pages. A checklist of documents required by the NHS Norfolk R&D Office can be downloaded here.
The Trust R&D office will review the study and NHS permission letters will be sent out on behalf of each Trust.
You cannot start your research until all necessary permissions have been obtained and any necessary honorary research contracts or letters of access have been issued.
