Training for Informal/Family Carers ready to embrace learning
This training pack has put together for those Informal or family Carers who may be ready to embrace learning. By family Carer we are referring to anyone who is looking after someone. The enclosed information has been assembled in direct consultation with Carers. You should find the information useful for yourself and for the person for whom you are caring. The pack gives you guidance with coping and caring. If you are a new Carer, the `Start 2 Care' training work-book considers aspects of caring which you may wish to learn about..
For those who have been caring for some years there is information on courses which consider how to look after yourself as a Carer and how to relax.
Throughout the pack there is reference to organisations from which you can seek advice and help.
For those Carers who would like to take a preventative approach there is information on where to find courses to assist you, such as moving and handling or nutrition. Lastly, if you are a Carer considering entering the work-place, why not consider the Passport 2 Care programme which will enhance your C.V. by giving you a care qualification.
This pack should have something for everyone and it is hoped that it will be of benefit to you and for the people for whom you care.
