Writing your literature review

All research that you plan needs to be placed in context, taking into account the related research work that has already been done. In different documents, the literature review can be also be called “background” or “introduction”.

All good research is based on sound evidence. You need to be aware of all the existing evidence in the literature that relates to your research idea so that you can be sure that you are not attempting to repeat some work that has already been done.

Excellent further guidance on how to write a literature review can be found here or you can contact the Frank Curtis Library or get in touch with the Research Facilitator
