Your C-Card scheme
Your C-Card is a free condom distribution scheme for all young people aged 13 – 25 years.
It doesn’t matter if you are having sex, thinking about it, or are just curious about condoms – anyone can register. It will provide you with lots of friendly and accessible places where you can get condoms and lube along with sexual health information.
To register, you must meet with a trained practitioner and discuss sexual health issues, including condoms, sexually transmitted infections, relationships, the law, emergency contraception, and who you can go to for support. You’ll then be given a credit card sized C-Card so that you can pick up condoms quickly, easily and without embarrassment.
Lots of agencies and services are involved, including contraceptive and sexual health services, GUM clinics, Connexions, Youth Support Service, schools and colleges, childrens centres, libraries, youth charities, GP practices, pharmacies, and many more. All locations can be found at www.yourccard.org.
Your C-Card has its own Facebook page which will give you updates about the scheme as well as links to other interesting sexual health sites.
If you are over 25 years old you can still get free condoms from a variety of outlets including GP practices.
